A dark, psychological serial killer thriller focused on obsession, ritualized violence, and the anatomy of a methodical predator.
The Metronome Man is a 3-eBook serial killer thriller series written for adult readers who prefer darker, more intense crime fiction.
He wasn’t born a monster. But life made him one.
Abandoned at birth. Shuffled through abusive foster homes. Adopted too late to heal the scars. For Jurgen, the only comfort he ever knew came from the steady tick of a metronome. Until the rhythm became an obsession. And the obsession became a compulsion. And the compulsion became murder.
In quiet Summerville, Washington, Liu just wants to shake off a terrible day with a run through Regency Park, her loyal German Shepherd, Rebel, trotting at her side. But she doesn’t know the park has become a hunting ground.
She doesn’t know someone is watching.
Counting.
Timing.
Waiting for her to make one wrong move.
When the metronome starts…the killing begins.
The Metronome Man: Bad Timing is the chilling first book in a pulse-pounding serial-killer trilogy where every second counts—and the next victim never sees the moment coming.

The Asa Minir series is phenomenal! I just finished book 9 in rhe series and I am desperately trying to access your website to get Book 10. But I keep getting an error reading saying: "Access denied". WHY?
At first I was skeptical, it started a bit unusual than mmy usual type of book. But it draws you in, and is so raw and honest. I went on emotional roller coasters with the poor girl! By book 3, where I’m at now, I keep forgetting it hasn’t been years, but mere months in which these characters, especially Aja ha lived about 3 lifetimes of emotional and moral upheaval. Really love the series so far.
This series was fantastic. The storyline in on par with John Le Carrie's The Constant Gardner. After 37 years in healthcare, it's a little too plausible!
The concept is good, but the writing is a little abrupt. That's the best way I can describe it, instead of smooth corners, the writing just turns sharp 90 degrees over and over. One second we're meeting this guy and next minute he's gone (without any spoilers) and it's so abrupt and baffling even when it is explained. Same with her powers, everyone just accepts them, without any doubts or confusion. Again, I like the concept but I ended up stopping the reading after book 2.
Gifted, cursed, and emotionally wrecked - thanks Aja. At first, Aja Minor: Gifted or Cursed felt like the usual setup, a psychic teen, a crime thriller vibe, and the promise of a series. I thought I was just dipping my toes in. Then the story grabbed me by the heart, dragged me into its depths, and refused to let go. I became fully immersed, emotionally invested, and yes, ugly crying happened. Repeatedly. If you're planning to read this, bring tissues. A Costco-sized box should do. The writing pulls you in slowly, then hits you with gut-punch after gut-punch. Aja is compelling, raw, and real. Her gift is both a blessing and a burden, and the way the author explores trauma, justice, and survival is intense. That said, this book does contain graphic depictions of sexual assault. If that's a trigger for you, please proceed with caution. I absolutely recommend this book. But fair warning: once you finish, you'll want the rest of the series immediately. And then you'll stare at the $70 e-book price tag and start negotiating with your bank account and your soul. Is it worth it? Emotionally, yes. Financially, I'm still working on my justification spreadsheet
Aja is an amazing character and completely relatable. I appreciate that the graphic details are minimal as the subject matter is tough enough with out adding too many visuals.
An excellent book showing the trials of a young girl struggling to come to terms with her unique gift.
I'm looking forward to reading the whole series.
If ever a book deserved to be made into a film, or TV series this does
Un-put-down-able.This was an amazing read! I love the paranormal aspect and the story line was well thought out.The characters were relatable.I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and I read the full trilogy one right after the other. I set a time for reading every day/night and went over every time. I think I spent more time reading than sleeping!
It took me some time to start reading the series but once I started, I couldn't stop. I am just about done with the last book and I am so glad I read them all. The series is not for everybody, but I loved it. Thanks Chris
Buy all 3 at one time. You will not want to wait until the next book is delivered. Its an exciting and possibly a story that can happen in real time. Each chapter kept you guessing. The characters are cunnings yet charming, show warmth and determination. You will not be disappointed!
Great. This is a 3 book series. Make sure you order all 3 at the same time. You will not want to wait to read the next one! I absolutely loved this story.
Fun read. I enjoyed this story. It wasn't what I thought when I got the book. Aja has "powers" that help her find serial killers and rapists. As a senior in high school, she learns about the FBI and is invited to go through their training program.Although it was more of a YA genre, I think adults will enjoy it as well.
